Director of SETI believe that life on Earth originated on Mars
Seth Shostak, director of the Institute for Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI), suggests that life on Earth came thanks to a huge asteroid that was once long ago collided with Mars and its fragments scattered throughout the solar system.
The theory known as panspermia, is that some microorganisms are able to survive in a lifeless space between the planets. Then, once on Earth, these germ of life evolved and eventually became the ancestors of humans.
